Iā€™ve keep this close to my heart for the past couple of months and after 6.5 years, this isnā€™t an easy post to writeā€¦

Weekenders Vintage will be closing its doors.

This little shop has been so much more than a store. Itā€™s been conversations, stories, laughter, shared memories, and the comfort of familiar faces walking through the door. Every single one of you who stopped in to browse, shop, or just say hello, youā€™ve meant more to me than you know.

This decision hasnā€™t come lightly. Life has shifted in ways I couldnā€™t have planned, and right now Iā€™m being called home. Home to be with my family, to be present, and to take care of what matters most.

Iā€™ll be closing sometime in October, with a final date still to be set.

Iā€™m not going far. Just stepping into a new chapter, with an open heart and no clear mapā€¦ but a strong feeling that this is where Iā€™m meant to go next.

Thank you for supporting this dream, for showing up, and for being part of something that I will carry with me always.

I will miss you. Truly. šŸ¤

Going through my stained and moth eaten linen, I realized itā€™s such a shame that these are not being used.

Some creative cutting, bias tape cause who has time to hem, and a sewing machine. Oh and a heap of can do attitude.

No pattern. No problem.
Made myself a lightweight linen top.
Made one for my daughter too.

Now Iā€™m looking at the larger ones and thinking I can totally make a skirt or pants. Or a caftan.

Now this is slow fashion. Mostly because Iā€™m blind as a bat when trying to thread a needle šŸŖ” and too stubborn to get up and get my glasses. šŸ‘“
