Congratulations to all of my 2026 brides - seeing your ceremony/reception photos come in has warmed my heart! You were all beaming and beautiful, and I am honoured to have been trusted with such an important part of your day.

As of yesterday my last bridal item went out the door and I was able to close the 2026 season with a bang!

Back to school and military alterations are in full swing and my September is fairly booked up. I do have some times available Sept 21-Oct 2. Please DM to book.

My October is a little more available, with weekday evening appointments only.

I have room for 2 more custom Halloween costumes, and any alterations or repairs for costumes will be open Oct 12-23. To ensure my kiddo’s costumes are done, I won’t have any available appointments the 26-31st

Moving forward, until at least winter break I will no longer be booking alteration fittings or pick ups on weekends to dedicate more time for my family.

Christmas orders for items such as gift card ornament stockings, full sized family stocking sets, and pocket shopping bags will open October 19th for pickups planned the weeks of Nov. 30-Dec. 18th.

I plan to post my fabric options by mid October for all products and prices.

I also plan to have a bit of pre-built stock available of the gift card stockings and shopping bags if you want to shop that way as well. I will have these posted December 1 with prices.

An amazing friend reminded me that as of today, there are exactly 100 days until Halloween!

That being said, I will be taking in only 10 custom orders this year to not overwhelm myself as in previous years - and as both my kiddos are now older (pictured in their 2025 costumes below) have decided to outdo themselves for their 2026 spooky season attire and we start decorating in September for Halloween around here.

As a Technical theatre graduate, I have worked with fabrics, foams, adhesives, mixed mediums and cardboard materials depending on what you or your littles are wanting created.

Please reach out *before* August 15th if you are interested, with reference images and to book a consult for measurements. Materials deposit (unless provided by you) plus hourly rate of $35/hour will apply. (Discussed and agreed upon during your consult)

Outside of these 10 custom costumes - If your Halloween wear just require repairs or minor alterations, I will begin booking intake in September, my standard alteration rates apply.

I will never become rich or famous for sewing (unless RuPaul or Trixie Mattel comes knocking 🤞🏽). It is a small pleasure to sit at my machines, or fit a new or existing client to where they are happy with their items.

It is a life that is often stressful, high stakes for a bridal gown or memory bear, but always rewarding in the end. I love taking a piece of clothing you just like, and turn it into something you love. I’ve seen body language change in my clients, just from reducing the shoulder, or taking in the sides of a gown. I’ve seen slumped shoulders turn into ear to ear grins.

I’ve had parents send me photos of their child in their formalwear at grad or prom, and how happy they look, and know I was a small part of that.

I’ve had friends and neighbours trust me with their alterations, repairs, custom builds, and memory items. Enough so, that they recommend me in circles I’m not even in.

My quality is always there, and I will always go by my rule of my clients only paying for a piece to be altered once - if you are not totally happy with the look, I take it back and redo it without additional cost. My parents raised me to take pride in my work, and I stand behind that lesson.

This work pays for day trips for my kiddos, groceries for our table, Christmas, birthday, and just because presents. But it also pays for in inner fulfillment. In knowing that I am utilizing a skill that did not come naturally to me. I watched my teachers, managers, coworkers in my previous seamstress employment, and I learned.

I use the fashion and design theory I was taught in college, and my time as a stylist and bra fitter to tell you - sometimes too honestly - how a garment should fit you. If I don’t think something *needs* the alteration you want, I will tell you, and not just blindly take your money for something that’s not necessary.

I am proud of the work I do - sometimes slower than others because I’m a perfectionist at heart - and proud to be serving the Quinte West and surrounding area for these last 5 years. Here’s to another 5!

My books are officially open for June/July!

After some much needed downtime, my back is much better and I am happy to be reopening my appointment book for the next 2 months.

Please note formalwear is a maximum 3-4 week turnaround depending on the alterations needed. Basic repairs or alterations can be 3-10 business days. Please DM me with your alteration needs to discuss further or for estimates.

I will not be booking weekend appointments for the entirety of June/July, but will have most Monday-Fridays open from 4:30-6:30.

I will be closed for vacation from Saturday June 27th to Sunday July 5th. Pickups can possibly be arranged during this time, but no appointments or fittings will be taken in.

Hi everyone, my back has gone out and I’m unsure when I’ll be able to complete any pending alterations (other than time sensitive items previously agreed on with an existing pick up date) as sitting at my machines is currently excruciating. I will try my best to reach out to everyone who might be impacted.

I know I have fitting booked for this week, and will honour those intakes - just know that I might be a little bit slower moving during your appointment.

Due to this set back, I will not be booking any further fittings until my mobility improves.
