Yesterday was absolutely amazing! Fat Splash 2026 was a success!
One of the biggest moments? Tammy was able to walk up the stairs to the slide and go down. I don’t think words can express just how magical that was, one may describe it as once in a lifetime. Remember, we can do the things. We can have adventure. We can be brave. We can pursue and achieve our dreams. Most importantly, we can find friendship, love, and connection 💜
Shout out to Suzanne (Hali.Fat on TikTok) for running this day with us. Your passion for dismantling harmful social narratives around fat bodies and creating safe spaces is unmatched.
We would also like to give a special shout out to Michelle Tibbetts Wood who graciously donated to our cause. It gave us wiggle room and the ability to keep our event affordable. Please check out Lemonaid Stand Society, a non-profit she started! If you are someone with a physical disability, it’s definitely the spot to be!
Lastly, thank you all who joined us on this special day and those who reached out with kind words, encouragement, and well wishes. Without you all, this event wouldn’t be as special as it is!
