This picture was taken at the very end of a crazy, busy day.
95% of the time, it’s my face you see at the store. Nope. Not today.
What this meant for me, was leaving our children to keep the store running. (Thanks to my Daddy for keeping them company for part of the day, my brother for (almost 😉) forgetting to pick them up this morning, and our son who grabbed them and helped close, even when he wasn’t asked. It was a total team effort today!
I’m so incredibly grateful for the people I can count on, when I need them most. I really do have incredible staff. But today, it was our kids who stepped up, took responsibility, and kept things moving, when I wasn’t there. It truly makes my heart so full. It’s moments like these that remind me how lucky I am to have such an amazing family. This is a FAMILY RUN business. We all have very busy lives, and our kids each have different responsibilities at the store, but when I need help, they always show up for me.
And let’s be real… these girls are both better at our til than I am, and they both make a WICKED good iced coffee!!
Where was I at today, you ask?!
I was with my Mommy at my second Buying Show, since being in the drivers seat.
Was I up very, very early ? ✅
Am I wiped ? ✅
Was I overwhelmed ? (Slightly at times!🥴🤭)
Did I spend way too much money ? ✅
Do we have some incredible new pieces AND new companies for Spring/ Summer ? ✅ (Yes, we order 6 months in advance for the following season)
Am I super grateful for my family ? ✅
I’m guessing the last thing our two teenage girls wanted to do on their last few days of summer holidays, is hang at a store all day today, but sitting here tonight reflecting on my day, I’m ever so grateful. ❤️
