Camo bermuda shorts and pants are having a moment right now, but here’s the thing: they can tip masculine fast if you don’t style around them intentionally.
Before: the black tank and black flip flops read more like off duty landscaper than of the moment.
After, here’s what actually elevates it.
Soften the top. Swap the black ribbed tank for something with movement and a lighter hand, like a crinkle knit or a halter tie, anything with a feminine detail (the bow back on this one does all the work). A lighter color creates instant contrast against the camo instead of blending into “all neutral, all utilitarian.”
Add a pop of color at the foot. This is the easiest ten second swap that changes the whole outfit. Black flip flops disappear into the shorts. Orange flip flops pick up the warm tones already in the camo print and make the whole thing feel styled instead of thrown on.
Moral of the story: oversized, camo, and utilitarian pieces need one soft, feminine, or colorful element to balance them out. Don’t let three masculine pieces stack on top of each other.
