Welcome 2024! I’m looking forward to seeing how this year unfolds.

It all begins with gratitude. We are beyond blessed in so many ways. We have won the geographic lottery living in Canada and while things may not be perfect, we are closer to perfection than many places.

While things have evolved for women, we also realize we have a long way to go. Being Italian, I am also aware of the recent protests in Italy about femicide and how many countries still have patriarchal societies. For every two steps we’ve taken forward, unfortunately we still take a step back.

We also live in a time where wars still continue. Haven’t we learned from our past? There is room on our planet for all of us, and we need to listen to and learn from each other.

Welcome 2024! I wish for this year to bring us peace, love, understanding, and compassion.
