Western Copper and Gold provided an update on its 2026 site program at the Casino Project.

Work is progressing to advance engineering design and support future permitting activities, including geotechnical drilling, permafrost investigations, and metallurgical programs. The data collected this season will support the next phase of technical analysis as Casino progresses through the YESAB Panel Review.

For the first time in years, the Company is also taking a fresh look at the prospectivity of its broader land package.

Western also announced the appointment of Mark Smith as Chairman of the Board. Mark is a professional engineer with over 45 years of global mining experience and has been a trusted technical voice in the Yukon for over a decade. He succeeds Raymond Threlkeld, who remains on the Board.

The tours are a valuable opportunity to bring the investment community into the territory, showcase the strength of the Yukon's project pipeline, and highlight the work being done to advance responsible mineral development.

At Casino, investors had the opportunity to see the project firsthand and discuss the features that support Casino's strong early economics, including favourable topography, an ultra-low strip ratio, and the high-grade Core Zone.

Western Copper and Gold is pleased to further strengthen its strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Materials.

The amended investor rights agreement extends the relationship to November 30, 2028, subject to Mitsubishi Materials acquiring 1.2 million common shares through non-dilutive open market purchases. Upon completion, Mitsubishi Materials' ownership in Western will return to approximately 5%.
