Not only was the movie good, the music was great and my guy got asked to pose for pictures with another MJ fan!

Being a special needs parent means there are a lot of “extras” we are responsible for. Most of them are heavy and hard. It’s easy to get swallowed up in all that. It’s so easy to forget the beautiful moments.

We decided long ago that our son was going to have every opportunity we could provide, set up, create and/or accept. Part of living into our own legacy is to help him create the kind of memories that forge who he will become.

This weekend was an amazing one for him! Friday night we went out with our friends for dinner and then to see Shrek the musical. My guy still gets so excited about being able to have an adult beverage when we go out to eat!

Yesterday we were invited out for lunch with another group of friends. He ordered a tower of onion rings and had a ball eating them. Then he had a friend over for the afternoon.

Today he’s going out to watch his father play drums, then for dinner, and then an evening ride in our mustang.

What a weekend it’s been! He’s thrilled and I need a nap. 🤣
