Christa, the lovely .ca , came by the shop today to pick up a few things!
I had the privilege of making a pair of legacy bears for her to gift to some special folks. The fabrics are from a jean jacket of hers and a housedress of her mother's. ❤️🍓
She also got herself a skirt and some sweet denim trousers, as well as some alterations she had done.
What a terrific time and what a terrific person! 😀
I highly recommend checking out her work.

Someone came to me with an idea and a few old fur coats he inherited from an aunt.
He was hoping for a wizard cloak that he could dress up in for play time with his kid while she's little - she's two or three now.
(He also expressed that it would be fun and embarrassing to wear when she's a teenager 😅) .
After some chats about details, this is the final result! 🧙‍♂️
I was able to use one of the coats almost in its entirety to make the trim and and the hood lining.
Since the cloak is made of wool (and the sheer volume of it), it's got a good weight to it that the decorative clasp at the front is not able to hold on its own. I was able to repurpose the clasps from the coat as well so it stays closed securely. They just happen to be a perfect style match!
He provided the special magical lining and I made sure it had big inside pockets to keep all necessary wizarding things 🪄

I hope this brings the family joy and helps imaginations soar!

Someone brought me a selection of fabrics they had found , wanting some sort of something made.
After a really interesting and thorough discussion, we came up with a plan that made the most of the pieces of fabric and served the purpose she had in mind.
It's all the way ready for spring and there are only the tiniest little pieces of fabric scraps left, so job well done! 🌺🌼🌸🏵🪷

These are a great-fitting skirt for many body types and many occasions - and they also help me use up smaller pieces of denim leftover from cutting other styles ☺️👖

Denim trousers! 👖
This is one of the best pant patterns I've made over the years and I'm so excited to have some denim ones in the shop along with a couple of other colours.
They're pre-shrunk so they will still fit you after you wash them 😄
