The Emerald Quartz used in this our Cenote ring is the highest quality available to market and custom-cut for Zaleska in very small batches.

In order to achieve the desired depth, glow, and colour, we’ve fused a combination of natural green quartz and clear quartz to mimic the hue and unique inclusions of a natural emerald.

I went to visit one of our silversmiths at his home yesterday and it was a neighbourhood affair! Watching the next batch of one-of-a-kind earrings come to life is so satisfying for me. These designs are a culmination of thousands of gemstones edited down to reflect my vision, sheets and sheets of hand-drawn sketches, and hours spent incubating different layouts. The collections are built like fine jewelry by artisans who have a lifetime of precision and talent. And somehow, with a smidge of luck, some airmiles, and a lot of perseverance, I get to bring more of these beautiful pieces to life. Will show you sneak peeks of the next stages soon. ❤️

Day one of this surprise side quest production trip is off to a GREAT start!! I hit up two of my favourite stone dealers today and found some really special pieces for us. I’ve also fallen in love with picture jasper and cannot wait to pair it with some juicy faceted gemstones so *prepare yourselves* emotionally for that AND let me know what you want to see!!

I think about this often. The pressures of expanding, growing, scaling. Like most entrepreneurs, you aren’t given a map (and sometimes I wish someone would hand one to us 😂).

What I *do* know about this beautiful journey is that our WHY goes far beyond an industry standard. It’s more complicated, definitely more expensive, and requires a ton of organization, but it’s for the people who are just like me. If you’re here, you’re directly contributing to the existence of a brand that cares deeply about including others and making the outskirts of traditional size ranges feel seen. So thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️
