super excited to be coming back for the 2nd Oddities & Curiosities Expo in vancouver!

last year’s expo, maidencore was but a wee business, having only done my first market ever the week prior, and i was so nervous ! it ended up being such an amazing time made some wonderful friends, and brought home so many rad items from the other vendors! 🖤

looking back at how much maidencore has evolved in a year is incredible, and a large part of that growth is from the O&C expo team giving a small artist a chance. 🥺

and that’s a wrap on the 2026 mission renaissance faire! although i am spent, i am also bursting with love and gratitude. 🖤 i never dreamed that so many people would connect with my artwork, and i can’t express in words how much that means to me. i also want to extend my appreciation to my vendor neighbours, the hardworking volunteers, and friends who checked in on me throughout the weekend. 🖤 lastly a HUUUUGE shout out to Samantha Ramsey for being my helper this weekend. i wouldn’t have been able to do this without her. now it is time to retreat to my castle and sleep for a fortnight. until the morrow’s light! ✨🌙

with so many followers i thought an (re)introduction may be warranted~

my name is carmelle, i’m the brain and hands behind maidencore 🖤

while maidencore is celebrating its first official year in business august 25th, i’ve been slinging chainmail for over 6 years now!

i take heavy inspiration from medieval history, but also lean on inspiration from, gothic architecture, victorian history, historic weaponry, the occult, and more~

every maidencore piece is made by my hands, and i’m honoured to have the opportunity to share my creations and adornments with the world. 🖤
