📣THE VANCOUVER ROCK SHOP is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and willing to engage with customers, helping them to find the right products to meet their needs.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
We are looking for somebody to work 2-5 shifts per week, depending on what is needed on a weekly basis. At the moment, we are looking to hire for the summer season with the possibility of more hours being available in the fall.
We can be flexible with availability, but prefer an individual who is available anytime, or almost anytime, as shift times and days vary from week to week.
Availability on weekends and around big concerts is necessary, as well as the ability to work afternoon to evening shifts (when needed).
✅Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries
- Maintain knowledge of products offered, and current promotions to inform customers effectively.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing.
- Assist in processing incoming merchandise
- Address customer complaints or concerns (with the help of management) in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction
📈Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to maintain composure and meet customer needs, even when the store is busy
- A proactive approach to learning about all the products offered in the store
