In the spirit of 'out with the old in with the new' I am going to be doing some story sales over the next few months to make room in my studio/collection/life for fresh ideas

And that means, you, my friends will get to indulge in some deep discounts as I clear out current stock, vintage goods, art/studio supplies, and life's general bric-a-brac

I know times are tight, and I also want to offer my goods in a way that can be more accessible for ya! And! This is a great opportunity for you out of towners who won't be making it to one of my limited market days this year

First round will take place on Tuesday May 12th starting around 10am!

That's all for now

Big ol' ramblin' heartfelt joyous update for y'all!

It's impossible to be concise so there's an essay for ya in the slides.

TLDR; I am moving back home to the Kootenays in August to live out my feral rat bag gardening art making river swimming potluck having dreams alongside my dearest pals in August. AND, I am winding down Lorelei a little (or a lot) this year to make room for new creative growth and ways of being. Life's too short too precious too precarious not to follow your heart. Onwards and onto new chapters and adventures!

Big ol' ramblin' juicy heartfelt update for y'all!

I am not/refuse to be concise when it comes to sharing my thoughts and feelings so yup there's an essay for you to read if you so choose šŸ˜†

TLDR; I'm moving back to the Kootenays in August to be a feral country livin' rat bag gardener art making river swimming grandma/teenager, reunited with some of my best friends. AND I'm winding down Lorelei a bit (or a lot) this year to make room for new creative growth. Onwards and upwards baby, life's too short and too precious and too precarious not to take risks and follow your heart.

Hi friends!

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet on here the past few weeks, that’s because I decided that I'm taking a winter break from Lorelei!

Home has felt heavy these past 5 months without my beloved Shiroo, and being in my space without her has just been… hard. Add a house flood, a splash of creative burnout, a rather ā€œmehā€ holiday market season, and you’ve got one squirrelly girl.

I’ve been craving a change of scenery, a reset, and the chance to breathe some new life into my many creative practices. And well, there ain’t nothing quite like grief to get the winds of change a blowing, let me tell ya.

I love natural dyeing, I love sewing, and I love creating wearable art for you, but lately I’ve been feeling the pull towards incorporating more visual art into my practice… my dreams are filled with mordant painting, block printing, sketching, exploring folk motifs tied to my family heritage, quilting, and reallyyy just letting myself play again without the pressure of production and selling.

For the past few years, the colder months have also meant a lot of financial instability for me - swimmin’ upstream, so to speak.

SO!

I’m gone babies, gone! I’m now out of town at a winter cooking job in the Kootenays, and it gives me two things I’ve really been needing: stability and space. I’ll be spending my off-weeks tucked into a familiar but fresh place, surrounded by snow, quiet, and tender friends - truly giving myself time to creatively and emotionally recover from a huge year of ups and downs, and to explore some of these crafty endeavours without all the other pressures looming over me! Win, Win.

🌸 Victoria friends, you can still shop Lorelei in person while I’m away. I’ve left all of my remaining stock nestled with the folks at

I’d love for you to visit them and support the many talented artists there, including myself! 🌸

I’ll be back in April sometime, still creating soft, sustainable wares for ya, but with a fresh burst of creativity, new ideas, and deeper reflections woven into everything I make.

Thank you for being here and for supporting me through all my seasons

See y’all when the flowers are bloomin’ 🌼

Welp, well friends… I really appreciate everyone who stopped by to admire my work this weekend, but if I’m being honest, sales were spectacularly abysmal. To those who did take home a piece of my work, truly, thank you. As much as I wish it were so, I can’t eat compliments.

Which means it's time for a....

Anything leftover will go up on my website.

And a PSA šŸ“£:

I’ve got one last holiday market this weekend at - my final market until spring, and I’d love to see you there! Anddd if you didn’t already know, my work is now available at for you to browse anytime!

Love,

Your local bedraggled artist trying to survive the holiday season with some shred of sanity
