New camping meal brand 🚨 so stoked to be stocking SLY Foods in the shop! Sly is a Canadian-made, freeze dried, and 100% plant-based gourmet meal company based out of Quebec. The early reviews (even from our carnivores!) have been nothing but extremely positive so look for ‘em next time you’re in the shop. 🤩

‼️ Movie Night ‼️

The leaves are turning, the morning air is crisp, which means we’re hosting a cozy Patagonia movie night! We’ll be showing two Patagonia movies: Without a Doubt, about Brayden Bringhurst attempting to conquer a Squamish mountain biking classic; and Simple as a Turn, about Swiss pro-snowboarder Nicholas Wolken. 🎥

We’re hosting here at the shop! Doors open at 5:45, and the movie starts at 6:30. We’ll have Strait & Narrow and Herald St bevies to purchase by donation and admission will also be by donation! All proceeds will go to Habitat Acquisition Trust, who will also be putting on a special presentation about their ongoing work. Might be some cool Patagonia pint glasses for those drinks that you can take home, too. 🤭

We were so stoked this year to help support Camp Huckleberry! Camp Huckleberry is a local grassroots, and youth-run outdoors organization that runs fully funded backpacking trips for 2-spirit, q***r, and trans youth in partnership with Strathcona Park Lodge! 

Over two weeks, Camp Huckleberry brings twenty q***r youth into the outdoors to experience the magic and resilience that comes from spending time outside. 

Camp Huckleberry serves 2sLGBTQIA+ youth from Vancouver Island and beyond and is committed to reducing financial barriers for youth. Interest forms will be launching in November for those interested in attending the camp in summer 2027. Head over to Alana🍌 to learn more about how to support this amazing, local initiative introducing youth to the wonder of the outdoors.

Join us Tuesday, October 6th and hear all about Claire Jansen’s thru-hiking adventure in New Zealand! Last November, she hiked the length of NZ’s South Island along the Te Araroa through the southern Alps over 52 days. Doors open at 6, and the show starts at 6:15. Admission is $5 and cash only.
