Still Life was started on historic Johnson Street in Victoria, BC in 1984, selling a mix of new and vintage clothing and accessories. Now in 2017 the Still Life brand has expanded to three physical locations, two in Victoria and one in Vancouver. With over 30 years of history in the local and global fashion boutique landscape, Still Life has established itself as a go to for quality goods from independent designers and brands from North America and abroad.

From the very beginning, this boutique was built around community, conversation, and the joy of discovering well-made things. None of it would have been possible without you—our loyal customers, friends, makers, and team members who shaped Still Life into what it became.

We are deeply grateful for your trust, support, and the memories we shared. Every visit, every conversation, and every piece you took home was part of this story.

Dear Friends,

For the past 18 years, Matt and I have poured our hearts and souls into this little boutique. What started as a dream grew into something so much bigger. It became a place where people could come not just to shop, but to connect, to feel inspired, and to be part of something local and personal.

Over the years, we have celebrated milestones with you, shared stories, and built relationships that mean the world to us. But today, we are facing one of the hardest moments of our journey. The truth is, without immediate support, our boutique may not survive. The challenges of the past few years have taken their toll, and as much as we have tried to push through, we cannot do this alone.

If this shop has ever been a part of your story, whether you found the perfect gift here, treated yourself to something special, or simply enjoyed the atmosphere, we are asking you to show up for us now. Every single purchase, every visit, and every word of encouragement makes a difference.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 18 years of love and support. Now we are asking you to stand with us so we can keep these doors open for many more to come.

Workforce Selvedge in Easy Guy has arrived both in-store and online! 🔨⭐️

Before denim hit the fashion scene, it served as the ultimate workhorse. Think 19th-century miners and lumberjacks battling tough conditions. Indigo denim and rugged cotton twills became staples thanks to their affordability, resistance to dirt, and practical durability.

The Workforce Selvedge pays tribute to that legacy. Weighing in at 11oz, it’s lighter and more wearable for modern use, yet still packed with rugged character. A neppy white weft adds an authentic vintage vibe, echoing the raw, unrefined textiles of early workwear.
