Do you have a favourite happy memory/story from one of your visits to Shabby Rabbit Clothing/Atelier Pearl/The Empress Bunny? I would really love to hear them!
Our last day will be August 29.
Things have changed. We don’t have the fabulous brand we used to carry sadly. The world is experiencing one crisis after another. It’s time. People have become shoppers instead of buyers in my shop and there’s a sadness that comes with that. I always said that I would never be a wealthy woman doing this, but that I was wealthy in the relationships that I had formed through the shop. That hasn’t changed. I am so grateful to each and every one of you who has been with me right from the very start. Over the last year there’s been a big shift though, and I just don’t even hear from some of the folks that were frequently in the shops or messaging me on the different platforms.
I completely understand. When a bag of groceries cost $60 and we have to really consider whether to make a little trip because of the cost of gas luxury clothing may not be a priority.
Thank you to all of you. I didn’t know a soul when I moved to Victoria, but I quickly found my tribe when Shabby Rabbit opened its doors!
I’m not alone. I know of three wonderful women entrepreneurs/retailers who have closed their doors just this month in Victoria. Triple Moon in Nanaimo is also closing at the end of this month.
For me, I’m not done! I am going to take things a little slower, but my website will still feature amazing clothing. There will be beautiful Boho, all natural fabrics from The Paper Lace and a new line which is in the early stages of production at this moment! As a teaser, there will be a gorgeous, but simple 100% cotton double gauze, crop top, mid thigh, top, and dress with pockets! There will also be a rendition of my favourite pair of jeans produced in wool and in linen.
These things will be on the website by the end of September. For now the website is a mess. Don’t go there! It’s not accurate or up-to-date.
Also, to help close up the store I have a huge sale on. There’s still tons of great stuff to be had at 40% off now while there’s still some sizes to choose from going to 50% off starting Tuesday. Shop shop shop! If you have any questions message me here.
