As we gather with family this Thanksgiving weekend, it’s important to remember that this holiday doesn’t hold the same meaning for everyone.

For many Indigenous people, Thanksgiving can bring up a painful history of colonization, loss of land, culture, language, and traditions that generations have fought to preserve.

Our ancestors knew the meaning of gratitude long before Thanksgiving was celebrated in Canada. They understood the importance of the land, the gifts of Mother Earth, the changing seasons, and the responsibility of caring for one another.

This weekend, may we be grateful, may we be kind, and may we make room for understanding.

BE BRAVE. BE KIND. BE HER. 🤎

THANK YOU CANADA 🇨🇦 Owning a business isn’t just about the finished product—it’s the hours nobody sees. The planning, creating, packing, posting, answering messages, fixing problems, and starting all over again tomorrow.

It takes time, patience, sacrifice and a whole lot of heart. ❤️

Every order means so much because I know exactly how much work goes into making it happen. 🍁

My grandmother spent 15 years of her childhood in a residential school. Her story, her strength, and everything she carried with her have shaped me in ways I’m still discovering.

When I created CANADIAN BREHVE, I wanted it to be more than just hoodies. I wanted the name BREHVE to carry something with it — strength, courage, resilience, and the reminder that we can take what we’ve been through and create something meaningful from it.

BREHVE MABEL is where my journey began.

Her story inspired me to tell mine. From being her granddaughter, to becoming an entrepreneur, to building CANADIAN BREHVE — this has become a journey of finding my own voice and being proud of where I come from.

Her story will always be part of mine. And every time I put BREHVE out into the world, I feel like I’m carrying a little piece of her with me.

For Mabel. For our families. For the generations before us and the ones still to come. ❤️
