It’s Indigenous History Month. Many of our followers and friends are reaching out to ask how they can support Indigenous people. It’s easy. Be a good neighbour and ally. Support Indigenous businesses, learn the true history of Turtle Island and the lands you eat, sip, work and play on.

There are many great books to read. A particular favourite of mine is Five Little Indians by Michelle Good. Our website road trips are the best I know of because they are authentic not a string of words pulled together.

Visit our site, I apologize that the EAT, SIP, and PLAY sections are hidden for renovation. The road trips are fully visible as are our recommendations of Indigenous shops to support.

Strolling through some past travel shots as I plan my next big adventure. I believe that culturally immersive travel is the highest form of enlightenment and choose to travel well. By well, I don’t mean all-inclusive or 5-star but rather locally infused and engaged. I want to eat where the locals eat, see what they see, hear their stories, and understand their worldviews. I don’t choose commercial, I invest in locally crafted artisan pieces to trigger memories. And I cherish the memories I make.

This year I am researching a few destinations to combine and am going to share them. Please offer advice, tips, and tidbits to help me curate a memorable adventure. Thanks in advance.

I have been receiving many DM’s. We are safe! Sadly, my sons and daughters homes are lost. Britt’s was completed for possession July 1, we are devastated her dream home is gone but grateful that she is safe with loving family . Brock is sheltering with a friend and safe- we are heading, trailer in tow, to our Zen place to regroup. I am thankful for the small blessings and many offers to shelter my family - thank you. Our home is safe as of now, and I feel in my bones that it will stand strong to shelter us as we heal. I just wanted to let you know we are safe, and to say thank you for caring.
