Our Story
Welcome to Wise Mind Designs! I am Sophia, the maker behind the items in this little shop. I am wife to a wonderful husband, mom to two beautiful boys, and have an engaging career as a child psychologist. While these roles are certainly fulfilling, they don’t always satisfy my desire to create.
I began making clothes for my boys during my second pregnancy, because I was fed up with paying too much for poor quality clothes that they were going to outgrow so quickly anyway. It was such a waste. Instead, I focused on grow-with-me style clothing with an easily adaptable fit and high-quality durable fabrics so that items could be used for years. I value comfort, practicality, and quality—and I bet you do too. I also love that the custom fabrics allow me to make extra-special and unique clothes for my little guys. I want to share what I’ve learned and make something lasting and extra-special for your little ones too. Message me to get started.
The Name. In therapy, the “wise mind” is the state where our emotions and rational thinking overlap. This is the space where we experience growth and make wise decisions—where we live our best lives. This is where I strive to be in my career, in my relationships, and in my parenting. And so Wise Mind Designs was born as a space to share my love of creating and to hopefully help parents find just a little more balance in the world!
