They are stitched with polyester thread to distinguish them from the originals (a slightly different colour as well) As well as a black linen backing material with R stamped on them.

A custom repair job for a friend. This is a vintage hat box it had a very interesting construction. Thin piece of Vegetable tanned leather followed by particle board then where needed Canvas reinforcement at the back.

Very happy with how it turned out. The straps were stitched with one thread back stitched each stitch. Saddle stitching with two threads like this is very time consuming and annoying was very happy that this is how it was sewn!

Dyed with a Light brown and then once sewn i put a British tan antique gel on it to age the white linen thread to march the original.

Now listed on www.grahamtheleatherguy.com

If you haven't checked out the Militaria section of my website, be sure to have a look!

There are plenty of original and reproduction military items available, many of which are not made by me.

New items are added regularly, so check back often to see what's new.

In this section we will be posting Original Militaria or Not made by us Militaria. This will be randomly updated.

Over this past weekend I attended a First World War event which had the most perfect weather! When I get perfect direct sunlight I always take the opportunity to suntan my vegtan. Took out my Canadian bandoleer sample to see how it would tan. Great success!
