I closed up for the last time today, and wow⦠it was bittersweet.
Iβm happy to be moving on with my life, but seeing this bay as a concrete slab was harder than I expected. For 5 years I spent 50+ hours a week here. It really was a second home β€οΈ
I learned a lot, met a lot of incredible people, and built something I was really proud of.
Iβve known for awhile that I didnβt want to do this for the rest of my life. So when the offer came along, the stars kind of aligned. But that doesnβt mean I wonβt miss parts of this job.
Iβm going to miss friends and family randomly popping in to visit. Iβm going to miss my favourite customers. Iβm going to miss the girls who worked for me, and watching their kids grow up running around the store. There are definitely parts of retail and owning a business that suck. But Iβm really going to miss the people. (Wellβ¦ most of them anyway π)
I want to thank my Mom, my step dad Curtis, my sister Alesha, my boyfriend Braxton, his mom Jeannine and his brother Easton, as well as my neighbour Michel and my former employee Brooklynn for helping me rip this place down for the next guys. It was a lot of work and I really appreciated your help β€οΈ
Thank you to everyone who supported Buckles & Blues over the last 5 years. Iβll see ya aroundπ«Άπ»
For the last timeβ¦
Thank you for shopping local β€οΈ
