Happy Thanksgiving weekend everyone!

We have so much to be thankful for here at Wilder Goods
An ample harvest, a shed full of firewood and a new baby has our home fit to burst with love and gratitude.

We are so thankful for you all as well! For all of your orders, thank you. For sharing photos of your wild ones in their apparel and slings, thank you. For your kind words and referrals to friends, thank you. And for just checking in to say hello here and getting to know us better, thank you. Every bit helps support our small family and keeps us doing what we love: sewing linen goods. We hope you know that every time you have chosen one of our garments or slings, it has been sewn with loving hands and gratitude for your support.

Sweet little solstice dress in our Nootka pink🎀

Did you know that our Nootka linen is named after the wild Nootka roses that grow in the Pacific Northwest? We their fragrant blossoms and use them dried for teas, soaps and… for rare winter baths when the nights seem so long you need a bit of their scent to remind you the world will turn green again.

It’s lilac season and we are here for it.
I love that my son can wear handsewn clothing while picking flowers from the bushes his Great-Great Nan planted here. It’s these simple pieces of life passed from one generation to the next that makes our family stop and savour all that we have. And we have a lot in this happy little valley.

We love the colours of the Nemaiah sling. Did you know that this is the only sling we didn’t name?

The Cariboo Friendship Society had local moms submit suggestions they chose to honour the Nemaiah valley. For every Nemaiah sling we sell here, we donate $5 back to the Cariboo Friendship society for their indigenous and pregnancy outreach programs in our community.
