Beautiful Bohemian Glass
European Elegance

Hand Blown glass from the Czech Republic with jewel-like decoration and 24 K gold overlay. Blown glass has been made in this area since the 1400's, and is known for its quality and artistry, second in the world only to Murano glass from Italy. Bohemian glass was sought after by European royalty and can be found decorating palaces around the world.

*TREASURE OF THE WEEK*
Vintage Gibbard Tea Cart with Serving Tray $55.

This beautiful solid-walnut tea cart comes with its original glass butler's tray for serving, and its drop-leaf sides extend to form a lovely small tea table. One small drawer holds the Gibbard name plate. This Canadian company was known for its fine furniture but has since closed its doors and can now only be found on the secondary market.

NOTE: While the wood finish is in wonderful condition, with no scratches or other disfigurements, the tea cart does have some signs of age. It has a little wobble when moved, (but sturdy when used in place), and some of the rubber on the wheels has deteriorated over time, as rubber does. And, I would say, that the handles on the butler's tray should probably not be trusted to carry much weight, as I glued one into place today. However, carrying the tray by its wood frame would not be a problem.

It is a beautiful vintage piece of fine furniture, that is now coming back into style.
