If you haven’t started adding lentils to your ground beef yet, this is your sign! 🤎

I started mixing canned lentils into my ground beef, and I honestly wish I had done it sooner. It stretches the meat, saves money, and my family doesn’t even notice they’re in there.

Lentils are packed with fiber, plant protein, iron, folate, potassium, and other important nutrients. They also help keep you feeling full longer, support gut health, and are a simple way to add more plants to your meals without changing the flavor much.

I usually use about 1 can of rinsed lentils for every 1 to 2 pounds of ground beef, but you can adjust it depending on the recipe and how hidden you want them to be. They blend in really well!

Some easy meals to sneak them into:
• Taco meat 🌮
• Spaghetti meat sauce 🍝
• Chili 🥣
• Shepherd’s pie 🥔
• Sloppy Joes 🍔
• Meatloaf 🍞
• Lasagna 🍽️
• Stuffed peppers 🌶️
• Burrito bowls 🌯
• Cottage pie

It’s one of those tiny changes that adds more nutrition, more fiber, and helps your grocery budget go a little further. Win-win!

Have you tried adding lentils to your ground beef? If so, what recipe is your favorite?
