HristiJana Hello, my name is Jelena Cetkovic, and here is a little about me. I am Textile Designer, Artist and trying to be a business woman :).

I have been in love with arts from an early age. My mom sewed and my grandmother weaved, knitted and crocheted. I'm so blessed to have had their influences in my life. I decided to study Textile design, and completed Masters Degree in 2005 at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. Today, I live and work in Windsor, Canada. I have dream to develop my business as a designer. The name “HristiJana”

was chosen as a brand name after meticulous consideration. To sell design is very difficult. One must combine originality and tradition to create designs that people want to buy. This is not easy, but I am working on it. In this stage of my life I am focused on hand painted silk items. I like to experiment with dyes and different techniques, working on different types of silk. Inspiration for my works comes from my environment, people that I know, meet, and every bit of experience that I've had in my life. It makes me happy when someone finds its' story in my creation.
