Too much for some people. Exactly enough for yourself.

You outgrew the version of you they got comfortable with.

Stay hard to ignore. 🖤🔥

Day 14 of 30.

The videos slowed down. The work didn’t.

I’m still putting time into Born Again Savage every day, rebuilding the website, finishing edits from the last shoot, connecting with other entrepreneurs through SEE, reaching out to creators, and planning what comes next.

One thing I’m trying to get better at is collecting no’s. Reaching out anyway. Asking anyway. Putting the idea out there and seeing what comes back.

And now we’re starting to build out Still Becoming, a series focused on people who are still building, still figuring it out, and still becoming something more.

This weekend we shoot with a local artist.

Still here. Still working. Still becoming.

Sometimes you just have to make it work.

We had 10 minutes to shoot. I messed up the first take, we reset, and this is what we came out with.

No perfect setup. No endless takes. Just create with what you’ve got.

Day 10/30.

One thing I’m learning through this challenge is that building a clothing brand isn’t just about making clothes.

It’s about creating a world around them.

The photography. The movement. The attitude. The people wearing it. The little details that make someone feel something before they ever click “add to cart.”

Less about showing you a hoodie.
More about showing you what Born Again Savage feels like.

Wear the story. Keep becoming.

Day 9/30.

Today I went out with one mission: find another random person willing to wear BAS and let me take a few photos.

I approached a few people, but I could tell they weren’t comfortable with it, so I didn’t push. For a minute, it felt like the day was going nowhere.

Then something completely different happened.

A young man started talking to me and eventually opened up about struggling with alcohol and trying to stay sober. We ended up talking for a while about recovery, getting back up, and what it means to keep trying when things haven’t gone the way you hoped.

For a second, the content-brain in me thought, yo this would make a powerful video.

But some interactions don’t need a camera, we were having a real life human moment.

I didn’t film him. I didn’t ask him to wear a shirt. We just talked.

And honestly, that ended up meaning more to me than finding another model today.

So these are a few more shots from the skater I met earlier in this challenge, a reminder that sometimes you go out looking for content and come back with something better.

Not every day gives you the shot you planned.
Sometimes it gives you the story you needed.

Day 9/30. Still becoming.

Day 8 of 30. 🔥

The crowd can get loud.
They can doubt you. Boo you. Tell you you’re going to miss.

But the crowd doesn’t take the shot.

Building BAS has reminded me that there will always be noise, from other people, from setbacks, and sometimes from your own head.

None of it changes the goal.

Keep showing up. Keep taking the shot. Keep getting better.

Seeing this latest shoot come together reignited something in me. The vision is starting to become real 🙏🏾🔥

Let the crowd be loud. They don’t decide the outcome. You do.

Day 7 of 30. One week in.

7 days ago, I thought the hardest part would be figuring out what to post.

I was wrong.

This week taught me that the real challenge is learning how to tell a story people actually want to stay for.

The first seconds matter. The pacing matters. The payoff matters.

And Day 4 taught me the biggest lesson so far: people don’t just want to see the product, they want to see the world around it.

A real person. A real moment. A reason to keep watching.

One week in, I’m not just learning how to market Born Again Savage.

I’m learning how to tell its story.

Week two starts tomorrow.

Day 6 of 30.

I think I underestimated how much this part would mean to me.

Every time I pack an order, it hits me that something I created is going somewhere I’m not.

Someone’s going to open it, wear it, and Born Again Savage gets to exist in their world for a little while.

Today, one order went in the mail and another got handed directly to the customer.

And that’s what makes this exciting.

Once someone wears BAS, the brand isn’t just mine anymore.

It starts showing up wherever they do.

One order at a time.
One story at a time.

Day 5/30.

Building something in public is awkward before it ever looks impressive.

You set up the camera. You redo the take. People look over. You post anyway.

And I’m realizing BAS can’t just be about showing another hoodie.

The product is part of it.

The life around it is the story.

Starting again. Trying things you’re not good at yet. Putting yourself out there before you know if it’s going to work.

So yeah, sometimes building this probably looks cringe.

But standing still would bother me more.

Be cringe. Build it anyway.

Day 4 of 30: full circle.

I went to the skatepark today looking for someone to photograph for Born Again Savage.

The park was almost empty, but there was one skater there. I asked if he’d be down to throw on some BAS and let me take a few shots. He said yes.

Talking to him, he told me how much he loves skating, and it reminded me of myself almost 20 years ago.

Back then, I could spend all day on a skateboard and wake up wanting to do it again.

Today, I think I’ve just found something different that gives me that same feeling.

Building Born Again Savage.

Funny how sometimes you go looking for content and end up finding a reminder of who you used to be, and how far you’ve come.

Day 4/30. Keep building.
