This is what I want to see more of: handmade and vintage given real space on the shopping strips, not tucked away. In Denmark and Sweden, they’re woven right in with the big brand stores, so anyone passing through discovers them naturally. I have to imagine it’s the same across Europe.

Most brands want you to buy more. I’m asking you to bring stuff back. Canadians throw out about a billion pounds of clothing and fabric every year and roughly 85% of it goes straight to the landfill. Per person, that’s around 81 pounds a year. So we decided to expand our resale program and create ENCORE: a program with two spaces: Anne Mulaire Resale, your pieces come home and renewed, and the Community Closet, curated finds from makers you admire. Every piece, a second life. What do you think?

Morgan Morgan Holmstrom ! These photos. šŸ¤ Thank you for wearing our Birch Couture Dress to the Ancestral Beasts šŸ“½ļø Fantasia Festival premiere and looking absolutely stunning doing it. Seeing MĆ©tis representation on a red carpet like this means everything! (Hand-painted by my dad, by the way)
And there’s something extra special about this one for me, you modeled for us back in 2016-2017, and now here you are, all these years later, wearing one of our dresses on the red carpet. I feel so honoured to be a part of one of your special events. That circle coming back around means a lot to me.

Here’s the part that gets me every time: this dress has already been worn a few times, premieres, galas, fashion shows, milestones… it’s been there for all of it, and every time someone wears it, it picks up another chapter. And that’s the part I love. What if we started believing more that good pieces were never meant to be worn once, that they’re meant to be lived in, again and again, encore et encore. ā¤ļø
The thought that we should be rewearing pieces. On the red carpet- At weddings- At every event….Wear it twice. Five times. Every time it makes you feel like yourself, but more.

So consider this your permission slip: rewear it. šŸ˜‰

Some pieces just have a way of making life feel a little softer. Quietly become part of your life. For me these two pieces are mon soleil blouse and la voyage skirt. They’re the ones I reach for every summer, spring, fall and every time I travel. That’s the kind of clothing I’ve always wanted to create. Not something you wear once, but something you come back to, again and again.
Et Oui! Every piece is cut and sewn here in Winnipeg by hands I know and trust.šŸ¤

Look at them. Now look at your tank. Now back at them.
Sadly, your tank isn’t reversible. šŸ˜‰
Our team had way too much fun showing off the Rosalie Reversible Tank, the lightweight summer top that gives you two looks in one. Festival, the cabin, the beach, or brunch, Rosalie is ready for it all.

šŸŽ‰ Good news: It’s on promotion until the end of the weekend, so now’s the perfect time to grab yours before summer slips away.

I don’t follow fleeting fashion trends. I follow my values.
As a women’s empowerment coach, I believe every conscious choice we make tells the world who we are and what we stand for.

That’s why I’m proud to partner with ANNE MULAIRE a Canadian, Indigenous-owned, women-led fashion brand that believes clothing can be beautiful, thoughtfully made, and rooted in purpose.

Their commitment to ethical craftsmanship, local production, and community reflects the kind of businesses I want to support. And yes, I also want to feel confident and beautiful in what I wear. I don’t believe we should have to choose between looking good and doing good.

For me, choosing where I spend my money is an extension of my values.
Every purchase is a vote for the kind of future we want to help create.

And every piece of clothing tells a story.
Every dollar you spend tells the world what you value. What’s your story?

Today is complicated. For many Indigenous people, ā€œCanada Dayā€ sits alongside grief and truth about this land. We hold both, the celebration of what we build here, and the honesty about whose land we build it on.
Made on Treaty One Territory. We honour the land and the people who have always been here, still here, still creating.
So this Canada Day, we’re celebrating the way that feels true to us: everything made right here in Winnipeg, at a celebrating price so you can actually buy Canadian-made. Not a sale, a celebrating price. There’s a difference.

I made the Soleil collection for days like this.
When it’s too hot for anything that doesn’t breathe.
Organic cotton, grown from the earth, soft against your skin.
Made to be lived in. ā˜€ļø

Apparently some people have opinions about what MĆ©tis ā€œshouldā€ look like.

Good thing identity isn’t up for public voting.

Freckled. Half-breed. Fair-skinned. But high cheekbones! Proud MƩtis twins.

This is what we look like.
This is who we are.

And when we’re together…
professionalism is officially off the table. šŸ˜…

Our printed tees are here.
Featuring artwork by our papa, David Albert, and feather artwork by our dear friend Ramon Shiloh.

Culture, family, art…with a little chaos included.
