🐾 A little throwback to two of our favourite shop assistants... Mrs. Rumple & Howl! 🐾

Last year, these two spent a few months keeping us company in the shop, and they quickly became the sweetest little distraction. They were always there to greet everyone who walked through the door, happily posing for photos and making the funniest faces.
We couldn’t resist putting together this little compilation of them lounging around the shop. They brought so many smiles, and for a while, we think some people were coming in just to visit the cats!

They’re no longer spending time in the shop as they’re enjoying a quieter life in their senior years, but we’ll always be grateful for the joy they brought us. We miss our furry greeters! ❤️

Every rug has a story to tell. ✨

Since moving to our new location at 296 McDermot Avenue, we’ve been able to bring in pieces we could only dream of carrying before, and these beautiful handmade rugs are some of our favourites.

Each one is completely unique, woven primarily in the Anatolian region of Turkey, as well as Iran, the Caucasus, Moldavia, and Turkmenistan. Together they reflect generations of craftsmanship, tradition, and everyday life.

Most are between 30 and 80 years old and handcrafted from 100% wool (with only a few exceptions featuring cotton warp threads). Many were lovingly used by the families who made them, giving each rug its own character and quiet history. Their rich colours come from a blend of natural and synthetic dyes, and the gentle signs of age are part of what make each one so special.

Whether you’re decorating a new space or simply enjoy beautiful handmade things, we invite you to stop by, take your time, and explore the collection. There’s nothing quite like seeing and feeling them in person, though they’re also available on our webstore if you’d like to browse from home.

If you haven’t been into the shop lately, we’ve got an array of beautiful new treasures that have just arrived, along with some favourite items that are finally back in stock!

I’ve included photos of some of our newest arrivals, and I’ll mention a few more below—but that still doesn’t cover everything. You may just have to stop by and see for yourself. ✨

🌿 New ClothingWe’ve brought in lots of new clothing just in time for the warm summer months! Along with some fresh styles, we’ve also restocked customer favourites like our Sak Yant shirts and stingray pants. Our men’s clothing section has been replenished too, with plenty of new options to choose from.

Photo 2 ) Whiz is modeling one of our adorable pairs of sunglasses for cats and small dogs! We grab these whenever we’re lucky enough to find them, and it’s been far too long since we’ve had them in stock.

Photos 3 & 10 )We’ve received new suede hip pouches in four different styles, all made from recycled leather. We also have a small collection of handcrafted leather hip pouches made in Thailand—each one completely unique.

Photo 4 )There’s a sense of newness within the nostalgia. Apica C.D. notebooks, the iconic Japanese notebooks made with wonderfully smooth, fountain pen–friendly paper, are back in a variety of colours and sizes.

Photo 5 )We’ve also received beautiful Arfé greeting cards and prints, each one hand-painted in Thailand.

Photos 6 & 7 )A wonderful new selection of wooden massage tools and combs has arrived, with even more available throughout the shop.

Photo 8 )We’ve dedicated an entire table to beautifully embroidered purses and handcrafted leather wallets, with so many different styles to explore.

Photo 9 ⭐Our paper star lanterns are finally back! We now have 5-point, 7-point, and 9-point stars in a lovely selection of soft white and cream tones—perfect for adding a warm, magical glow to any space.

We create our own jewellery in-store, inspired by the curious and beautiful treasures that find their way onto our shelves. We also offer simple jewellery repairs and custom-made pieces, handcrafted right here in the shop with a short wait time.

For the makers and dreamers, we sell everything individually—beads, bone and horn carvings, chains, clasps, metal charms, and all manner of little treasures—perfect for creating your own one-of-a-kind jewellery.

Handcrafted pendulums decorated with crystal accents and brass charms such as moths, anatomical hearts, raccoons, and bears. The brass bobs are functional as well, some open to reveal tiny compartments for herbs, ashes, prayers, or other small treasures.

Thank you everyone for your feedback on our last post! ✨

We’re excited to let you know that we’ll be extending our hours at the end of June. Starting then, we’ll be open until 8:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

t’s been awhile since we shared some crystal photos ✨ We recently received a new shipment from Madagascar, and while unpacking the boxes, we uncovered this massive Golden Healer.

Nona just happened to be wearing this dreamy grey frilly dress that day, so of course we had to snap a photo or two, which became the inspiration for this post 💛

Most of these beautiful crystals are only available in-store, as each piece is as unique as the Earth it came from. You can, however, browse and order part of our collection through our sister company page on Etsy!
