Crown Cap started in Winnipeg in 1934, making fitted work caps for the Western Canadian farm trade.

More than 90 years later, we’re still family owned, still making headwear in Winnipeg, and still focused on the same things that built the brand in the first place: quality materials, skilled hands and attention to detail.

The styles have changed over the years, but there’s still a lot of old-world craftsmanship in what we do. We work with Scottish tweed, shearling, fine wool and fur, while still honouring our roots in functional cold-weather classics like the Railroad Hat and Stockman Cap.

We’ve always believed a good hat should be made properly, made to last, and made with purpose.

Our roots are on the Prairies, but Crown Cap has travelled far beyond them.
