We’re still trying to find the words. ❤️

Last Tuesday, we officially celebrated the Grand Opening of our new home at 457 Dundas Street... and what an incredible evening it was.

Nearly 200 people came through our doors to celebrate with us. Friends, family, students, fellow artists, neighbouring businesses, community leaders, and so many familiar and new faces. Every conversation, every hug, every kind word, and every smile reminded us why we do what we do.

Three years ago, The Kiln Room was just a dream. Since then, this beautiful community has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. This new studio isn’t just a larger space. It’s a place where creativity, connection, and belonging can continue to flourish.

To everyone who has taken a class, attended a workshop, shared our posts, recommended us to a friend, volunteered your time, collaborated with us, or simply believed in what we’re building... thank you. You are the reason we’re here.

To everyone who helped make the Grand Opening possible, thank you. We feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a supportive community.

We’re also still soaking in the fact that, just days after our opening, we welcomed thousands more visitors during StreetFest. It was a whirlwind of a week, and we’re only just beginning to process it all.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for celebrating this new chapter with us. We can’t wait to continue filling this space with muddy hands, shared laughter, beautiful creations, and memories that will last a lifetime.

🤗 So thrilled to have been a part of making this magic happen. ✨

For those who don’t know, I sit on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Woodstock BIA and am part of our small but mighty Beautification Committee. We dreamed up this project and had the privilege of selecting the artists whose work is now displayed throughout downtown and even beyond the BIA boundaries.

Seeing this project finally come to fruition and our streets come alive with colour, creativity, and local talent makes me so proud.

Woodstock, your soul is showing and I’m loving every minute and interaction witnessed with these works of urban art 💖🥹

Create your own adorable ceramic Shroomie Dude in this whimsical guest workshop led by local artist Shelby Champeau!

These quirky little mushroom friends are full of personality, and no two are ever the same. Whether you make a tiny, chubby forest companion or a tall, lanky woodland wanderer, you’ll learn simple handbuilding techniques to bring your unique Shroomie Dude to life.

Shelby will guide you step-by-step through shaping, assembling, and adding those charming little details that make each mushroom so expressive. Once complete, you’ll choose from a selection of beautiful glazes for the mushroom cap while the body remains the natural clay colour, giving each piece its signature woodland look.

No pottery experience is needed, just bring your imagination and get ready for a fun, relaxing evening of creating.

Your Shroomie Dude will be professionally kiln fired and ready for pickup at The Kiln Room approximately 2–6 weeks after the workshop.

✨🪻 Golden Hour: A Pottery & Lavender Experience |

When our July 4th workshop had to move to the rain date, several guests unfortunately couldn’t make the new date, which means a few lucky people now get the chance to join us this Friday!

Come out for a dreamy outdoor pottery experience surrounded by rows of blooming lavender at golden hour.

Come early to wander the beautiful Deep Purple Lavender Farm gift shop, filled with handcrafted lavender products made right on the farm. Grab an iced coffee or lavender soda before heading down into the field to settle into the evening.

As the sun begins to dip and the sky softens into shades of peach and violet, you’ll be guided through the meditative process of hand-building your own pinch pot using grounding clay and ancient techniques. No experience needed, just a willingness to slow down, create, and enjoy the moment.

Surrounded by lavender, warm summer air, and the quiet beauty of the countryside, this workshop is a chance to reconnect with nature, creativity, and yourself.

Join us at Upper Thames Brewing for a full night out that includes pizza, a brewery pint, and your own handmade ceramic stein or coffee mug.

Arrive at 6 PM to check in, enjoy your pizza and drink, and settle into the brewery atmosphere. At 7 PM, we’ll roll up our sleeves and begin building your piece by hand with HollyJo from The Kiln Room Ceramic & Art Studio.

You can create a classic beer stein or opt for a smaller, everyday coffee mug. Same techniques. Same experience. Just your vibe.

This beginner-friendly handbuilding workshop will guide you through shaping your form, attaching a handle, and adding surface details to make your piece uniquely yours. All designs will be sturdy, functional, and achievable for every skill level.
Your finished piece will be glazed, kiln-fired, and ready for pickup at The Kiln Room a few weeks later.

Since then, this incredible community has formed around me, Meaghan and this studio. It’s because of your support, encouragement, and belief in what we’re building that we’re able to grow into this beautiful new season.
