The last snow of the season fell quietly.

At 1600 meters the mountains are still untouched —
no lights, no traffic, just wind moving through the trees and the sound of snow under your boots.

Out here, simplicity matters.

The Silvaplana Gilet, layered over an organic cotton hoodie, carries small details made from an upcycled Slingshot Park kite.
A material that once flew across the water now continues its journey in a different landscape.

Each piece is made by hand.
Not to follow a trend, but to extend the life of something that already existed.

Because the best materials are often the ones that already have a story.

This vest is more than a garment.
Crafted from a reused Naish Park brown- silver tribal-inspired motif kite sail, it represents transformation — turning performance material into purposeful design.

What makes it even more meaningful is that it was conceived, and developed by the students of the STA Scuola Superiore Tecnica dell'abbigliamento di Lugano — the same school where I built my foundations.
Working with kite sail is technically demanding. It requires precision, structural understanding, and strong craftsmanship.

This project highlights the students’ ability to approach unconventional materials with skill, discipline, and creative intelligence — guided by teachers who foster innovation and responsibility.

Projects like this matter.
They train designers to think critically, to respect materials, and to create with intention. They show that sustainability is not a trend, but a practice built through knowledge and technical excellence.

We believe in second lives for materials and in education that shapes conscious creators.
The future of responsible fashion is built in classrooms like these — one stitch at a time.

Questo gilet è più di un capo. Nato da una vela da kite Naish Park con motivo tribale marrone-argento, trasforma un materiale tecnico in design consapevole.
È stato ideato e sviluppato dagli studenti della STA Scuola Superiore Tecnica dell’Abbigliamento di Lugano, la scuola in cui ho costruito le mie basi.

Lavorare una vela da kite è complesso: richiede precisione, comprensione strutturale e maestria. Il progetto dimostra la capacità degli studenti di affrontare materiali non convenzionali con competenza e intelligenza creativa, guidati da docenti che promuovono innovazione e responsabilità.

La sostenibilità non è una tendenza, ma una pratica fondata su conoscenza ed eccellenza tecnica.
Il futuro della moda responsabile nasce in aule come queste — un punto alla volta.

They are not just lines.
They are tension, balance, trust —

the invisible connection between the rider’s impulse and the kite’s response.
Every movement of the hands travels through them, turning intention into speed, lift, freedom.
They don’t simply hold the kite; they carry feeling.

Front lines and back lines work together to shape power and direction, translating human instinct into motion.
A dialogue between the kiter and the wind.

But their story doesn’t end when the session is over.
Worn lines, twisted and weathered by salt and sun, become something new.

I weave them again — into shoulder straps, decorative elements, and pull cords — giving a second life to what once guided a kite across the sky.

Because these lines were never just ropes.

They are connection, memory, and movement — transformed.
Not discarded.
Reimagined.

Non sono semplici cavi.
Sono tensione, equilibrio, fiducia —
il collegamento invisibile tra l’impulso del rider e la risposta del kite.

Ogni movimento delle mani passa attraverso di loro, trasformando l’intenzione in velocità, lift, libertà.
Non sostengono solo la vela: trasmettono sensazioni.

Front lines e back lines lavorano insieme per modellare potenza e direzione, traducendo l’istinto umano in movimento.
Un dialogo tra il kiter e il vento.

Ma la loro storia non finisce quando la session finisce.
Le linee consumate, intrecciate dal sale e dal tempo, diventano qualcosa di nuovo.
Le intreccio di nuovo — creando tracolle, elementi decorativi e tirazip — dando una seconda vita a ciò che una volta guidava la vela nel cielo.
Perché questi cavi non sono mai state semplici corde.

Sono connessione, memoria e movimento — trasformati.
Non scartati.
Reinventati.

Design is where everything truly begins.

I deeply love this phase — the quiet, intense moment of study, research, and imagination. The time spent thinking, rethinking, sketching, questioning, and shaping an idea before it becomes a real piece. This is where a garment is born, long before fabric and color.
This black & white chapter represents the reset. The reprogramming. The foundation.

Desaturated, delicate tones to honor the beginning — where vision is still pure, fragile, and full of potential.
Color will come later. First, there is structure. Thought. Intention.

Design takes time. It takes energy. It takes passion, focus, and a deep connection to what you want to create. Every Far piece starts here: with long hours of planning, dreaming, and refining.

Today, I’m grateful to no longer walk this phase alone. To share this process with someone who is just as passionate, just as obsessed with details, just as in love with the journey as I am. This is where magic quietly starts.

La progettazione è il vero inizio di tutto.

È la fase che amo di più — quel momento silenzioso e intenso fatto di studio, ricerca, immaginazione.

Il tempo dedicato a pensare, ripensare, disegnare, mettere in discussione e dare forma a un’idea prima che diventi un capo reale. È qui che nasce un indumento, molto prima del tessuto e del colore.
Questo capitolo in bianco e nero rappresenta il reset. La riprogrammazione. Le fondamenta.
Toni desaturati e delicati per raccontare l’inizio — quando la visione è ancora pura, fragile e piena di potenziale. Il colore arriverà dopo. Prima ci sono la struttura, il pensiero, l’intenzione.

Progettare richiede tempo. Richiede energia. Richiede passione, concentrazione e una connessione profonda con ciò che si vuole creare. Ogni pezzo Far nasce qui: da lunghe ore di pianificazione, sogni e continua ricerca della perfezione.

Oggi sono felice di non vivere più questa fase da sola. Di condividere questo processo con qualcuno che è altrettanto appassionato, attento ai dettagli, innamorato del percorso creativo quanto me. È qui che la magia inizia, in silenzio.

In collaborazione con , un progetto di upcycling prende forma tra le materie di tecnica e ambiente e tessitura.

✂️ Vele da kite vengono tagliate in strisce,
smontate con cura,
per diventare un nuovo tessuto dalla texture inattesa.

Perché nulla è davvero uno scarto,
ma solo una forma pronta a trasformarsi.

🌱 Il risultato finale sarà una sorpresa.

This pouch is one of them.

Made from a very old kite — among the first was ever created in the 70's-80's
Rough, three millimeter wide transparent plastic straps, woven by time and wind.
Once flying with former kitesurfer Jean Marc from the swiss region Ticino, now held close.

A small, versatile piece that many chose as a personalized Christmas gift.

A reminder that what carries history also carries meaning.

Realizzato con uno tra i primi kite mai creati negli anni ’70–’80.
Semplici fettucce di plastica trasparente larghe tre millimetri, intrecciate dal tempo e dal vento.
Un tempo volava con il kitesurfer ticinese Jean Marc;
Oggi un piccolo oggetto versatile, scelto da molti come regalo di Natale personalizzato.

Ciò che porta con sé una storia porta anche significato.

Ci siamo incontrate qui durante le feste di fine anno. No, non parlo della cabina telefonica 😜

Sì perché entrambe ne siamo innamorate, quando è così pacifica, lenta e “quasi” del tutto naturale.
Sebbene è di Milano e adora passare le domeniche al parco sotto casa mia a Lugano con la sua famiglia, era destino che ci incontrassimo proprio qui, nella splendida isola di .
Un luogo che ci sta particolarmente a cuore, dove anche nella stagione meno frequentata tutto può succedere con naturalezza.
