Second prototype created by Monty Spindler for my sail design project.
The request was to create dinghy sails inspired by one of Jr’s favorite sails: the “Lotf Sails Race Board Blade - RBB of Master Monty Spindler”
Countless hours spent exchanging messages, emails, and phone calls led to the creation of our fantastic sails, which we’ll be releasing even before our “The Chili Peppers Xp” hits the market!
The result: François Tapin had a blast with our latest 9.5 camber pre-production sail at L’Aber Wrac’h in Brittany for over 8 hours straight, with a smile on his face like a teenager!

One of the first sail prototypes for the Chili Peppers XP was this 7.5 m² camber sail. It was a prototype built by Monty Spindler in his loft in Tarifa.
It underwent a few modifications over time, including two visits to the sailmaker’s shop to validate its performance, its profile, and the stiffness of differents battens type.
It wasn’t a sure thing from the start, and a lot of hard work went into it. A magical sail capable of performance as powerful as an old Dacron sail in 2–3-knot winds, but also in breezes up to 25 at Lake Como!
