I usually make sample to test clothing patterns and fit before cutting the final fabrics.

I Finally found fabrics that might work for the client’s needs, they’re linens viscose blend flowing but not transparent (as the client wishes for her modest clothing).

Short summer break 😊
Got a custom orders message while waiting for my connecting train to Paris, so I thought I better get some fabrics while I’m there but most fabric shops in Sentier area were closed for summer break too, and I don’t have much time to go to Saint-Pierre area where obviously there’s many more fabric shops .. a bit disappointed but well, I managed to grab some nice fabrics that hopefully the client will approve 🤔

Refashioned an old skirt into a blouse ✂️
The skirt was my first sewing project back in Singapore circa 2009. The fabric is cotton satin with small polka dots. It was an easy beginner sewing project but I really liked the result and it made me fell in love with sewing and making things with my own hands.

I found sewing therapeutic and rewarding being able to turn a piece of fabric into something wearable by myself and so it goes on and on .. so this marks all the years I’ve been practicing sewing, friends and teachers who introduced me to sewing, who taught me, who inspired me .. I’m forever grateful for that 🙏🏼
