3daysofdesign 2025 – Copenhagen

Displays is a formal exploration of light and materiality, presented as part of the FAST / FORWARD exhibition by FENIX® and Formica® during 2025 in Copenhagen.

Two lighting sculptures—Display (1x10) and Display (7x10)—explore how surface coverings interact with light. Each is distinguished by scale and material: the first, tall and slender, is crafted entirely from the pale, matte tones of Formica® Pale Gold; the second, bold and statuesque, features the rich depth of FENIX® Viola Orissa.

Stripped of their functional purpose, the pieces emphasize form and surface. Concave and convex contours guide the integrated light outward, allowing it to softly illuminate the material—revealing unexpected textures and shifting tones.

This year, we had the opportunity to work alongside art director Giulio Cappellini to conceive and design “International Interiors”, an immersive exploration of contemporary living, with the graphic identity .
Set in Cappellini’s newly reimagined Via Borgogna space, the installation blurs the lines between fiction and reality, where objects are not merely functional, but active participants in the rhythm of life: a morning after a long night, a conversation suspended in time, a space transformed by presence and absence. By intertwining abstraction with representation framed within the new Cappellini collection, International Interiors challenges conventional perceptions of design, embracing ambiguity as a tool for storytelling.

The Anagram approach to modularity addresses two key challenges: construction and usability. Unlike traditional sofa designs, which rely on staples, glue, or permanent bonding, Anagram is designed for complete disassembly. At its core is a robust, lightweight frame crafted from extruded recycled aluminum, to which all other components—suspension belts, seat mattress, cushions, and side panels—are mechanically attached.

Anagram’s modularity is streamlined to just eleven components, forming a versatile and efficient system. Its patented click mechanism allows side panels to attach seamlessly along the aluminum frame, eliminating directional constraints. This innovation resolves the limitations of conventional directional sofas, enabling effortless reconfiguration and adaptability to new spaces without compromising functionality.
