🔥🌧️ THE BOY I HATED SAVED MY LIFE
PART 11 — PART 3 — THE TRUTH BEHIND HER FATHER’S DEATH 💔🌧️
Claudine stared at the message.
Her hands were trembling.
“I DID.”
She looked at Jordan.
Jordan looked equally confused.
“Who sent this?” Claudine whispered.
Jordan shook his head.
“I don’t know.”
Suddenly, the phone rang.
Both of them froze.
Claudine answered.
“Hello?”
Silence.
Then a distorted voice whispered:
“You should have stopped looking.”
Claudine’s heart raced.
“Who are you?”
The caller laughed softly.
“You really want to know what happened to your father?”
“Yes!”
“Then go to the old warehouse.”
Jordan immediately shook his head.
“No, Claudine. Don’t go.”
The caller continued:
“Come alone.”
The line went dead.
Claudine stared at Jordan.
“I have to go.”
“No.”
“He was my father.”
“And whoever killed him wants you there.”
Claudine wiped her tears.
“Then maybe it’s time I stop running.”
Jordan tried to get out of bed.
“Wait!”
“I’m coming with you.”
“You’ve just been shot!”
“I don’t care.”
Claudine stared at him.
“Jordan…”
He looked into her eyes.
“You trusted me once.”
She became silent.
“Trust me again.”
Later that night, heavy rain poured over Abidjan.
Claudine and Jordan stood outside the abandoned warehouse.
The huge metal door slowly opened.
Inside was darkness.
Then a light switched on.
A table stood in the middle of the room.
There were dozens of photographs.
Claudine walked closer.
Her breath stopped.
There were photographs of her father.
Mr. Cole.
Vanessa’s father.
And Jordan.
Jordan stared at the photographs.
“What is this?”
Claudine picked up an old document.
Her father’s signature was on it.
Then she saw something that made her freeze.
The date was the night before her father died.
Jordan took the paper from her.
“This isn’t possible.”
Suddenly—
A voice came from behind them.
“It’s very possible.”
They turned.
Vanessa stepped out of the darkness.
Claudine’s eyes widened.
“Vanessa!”
Vanessa smiled.
“You finally came.”
“Why did you do this?”
Vanessa looked at her coldly.
“Because your father destroyed my family.”
“Liar!”
“He knew about the money.”
Jordan stepped forward.
“Where’s your father?”
Vanessa laughed.
“You still don’t understand.”
She pointed toward the photographs.
“Your fathers were partners.”
Jordan froze.
“What?”
“Your father and Claudine’s father stole money together.”
Claudine shook her head.
“No!”
Vanessa continued:
“But when Claudine’s father wanted out, he threatened to expose everything.”
Jordan looked at Claudine.
“So they killed him.”
Vanessa smiled.
“Exactly.”
Claudine’s eyes filled with tears.
“Then why frame me?”
“Because you were the easiest person to destroy.”
Jordan stepped forward.
“You shot me.”
Vanessa’s smile disappeared.
“You weren’t supposed to survive.”
Claudine grabbed Jordan’s hand.
“You tried to kill him because he knew the truth.”
“Yes.”
“But why?”
Vanessa looked at Jordan.
“Because he found the original records.”
Jordan’s face changed.
“The records are still here?”
Vanessa nodded.
“They’re hidden somewhere in this building.”
Suddenly, the warehouse lights went out.
A gunshot echoed.
BANG!
Claudine screamed.
Jordan pulled her down.
Another shot.
Then silence.
When the lights returned—
Vanessa was gone.
But on the table was a single folder.
Jordan picked it up.
Inside was one final document.
Claudine read it.
Her eyes widened.
“Jordan…”
“What?”
“This is my father’s death certificate.”
Jordan looked at it.
Then his face became pale.
The official cause of death had been listed as an accident.
But underneath it was a handwritten note:
“He was murdered.”
Claudine began crying.
Then another page slipped from the folder.
It contained one name.
MR. COLE.
Claudine slowly looked at Jordan.
Jordan stared at the paper.
“My father…”
Before they could say another word—
A voice came from the darkness.
“You finally found it.”
They turned.
Mr. Cole stood at the entrance.
Claudine froze.
“Mr. Cole?”
He looked at Jordan.
Then at Claudine.
“I’m sorry.”
Jordan whispered:
“Dad… what did you do?”
Mr. Cole lowered his head.
And said:
“Everything you’ve been told is only half the truth.”
