Thank you MMI News 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏
We take you to discover the maker of this beautiful outfit.
The Cameroon International Film Festival has kicked off in Buea. Most often, people focus on the attendees. At MMI News, we are looking at people who play an important role, but most often such people are underrated.
The person in this picture needs no introduction. That is Mbeng Lilian, a filmmaker and comedian known by the stage name Caro.
However, let's talk about her dress. This is a creative work of art by Fulem’s Closet. The outfit took two to three days of intensive work to complete.
In an interview with MMI, the CEO of Fulem's Closet, Tamufor Belgah, said the planning took three weeks. This meant working on the design, selecting colors, finding the material, and taking into consideration the shape and skin color of Mbeng Lilian, a.k.a. Caro.
This particular dress, which is a combination of deep red and royal blue colors, is just one of the dresses that Fulem's Closet has for Caro at this ongoing film festival.
“There are still two more on the way,” Tamufor Belgah told MMI News via a telephone conversation from Yaoundé, where the dress was made.
Though not present at CAMIFF, Fulem's Closet's impact is still being felt. That is because making the dress is one thing, and wearing it is another.
“I have handed over instructions on how Caro’s team can go about it to ensure she fits into the dress,” the CEO of Fulem's Closet told MMI News.
Just three years into fashion and two years of online visibility, Fulem's Closet fashion brand has become a force to be reckoned with.
Apart from Caro, she has dressed several celebrities, including renowned movie star Syndy Emade, former Miss Cameroon Julia Samantha, and current Miss Cameroon Audrey Black Moutongo, among other top names.
