How to Test the Viscosity of PTFE Tape Correctly is most important for us when we get it at hand. However, most of people adopt the wrong method. Here are some usage notices that may help guide you.
When the average customer gets the tape at their hands, their first reaction is to look at the viscosity. Unfortunately, most of their test methods are not right. For example, if a customer gets a roll of tape to hand, their first thing is to test the stickiness with his own hand, but in fact, this method is wrong.
As high temperature resistance of our tape, the viscosity is divided into initial adhesion and high temperature adhesion. The initial adhesion refers to the degree of stickiness at room temperature, and the high temperature adhesion refers to the degree of stickiness in a high temperature working environment. The visual test method of the initial adhesion is relatively simple, that is, the adhesive is applied to the adhesive, and then pulled apart. The greater the strength, the greater the viscosity. Professional specific initial adhesion data requires instrumentation to test out.
