We hoped the US-Iran ceasefire memorandum would be signed to restore smooth shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and bring raw material prices down. After the recent price correction, many clients have postponed orders, anticipating further price cuts, which is reasonable.

Yet we need to stay objective: crude extraction, refining and PP production follow a fixed cycle. Futures prices do not represent available spot prices. Some suppliers have slashed quotations sharply lately. Please pay close attention to product quality.

Most ultra-low-priced goods are made from recycled secondary materials. This practice is common amid high raw material costs to win orders with cheap prices, but it leads to unstable quality and poor tensile strength. Do not compromise long-term product performance merely for lower unit cost.

I once had a German client for agri-nonwoven. His RFQ was a 17-page Excel with every detail. For 3 months, I was more translator than sales. Each reply, he highlighted missed points in red, saying "Please read carefully." Then came a factory inspection. He flew to Quanzhou, checked 100 items with a caliper, and said one diameter was 0.02mm over spec. The manager argued it was within Chinese standard and didn't affect use. Instead of translating, I took the product and said: "0.02mm is my fault – I couldn't get the factory to shorten mold maintenance. I'll pay extra testing costs myself to ensure compliance." He paused, then smiled – the first time. He then called me "The Keeper" instead of "Ms Huang." He later said he wasn't testing the product, but my attitude: excuses or solutions.

2026.07.03 INDUSTRY TRENDS

Due to the four-month geopolitical tensions in Iran, many local petrochemical enterprises have cut production or suspended their facilities. Once large-scale production equipment is shut down and restarted, it tends to generate massive off-spec inferior materials. Over 3,000 tons of such defective materials are circulating in the market and being sold at low prices by manufacturers. We will not purchase these inferior materials, as their impurities will damage our production equipment and compromise the quality of finished products.

2026.07.02 INDUSTRY TRENDS
Following the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, international crude oil prices have declined, pulling down futures prices of raw materials accordingly. However, there is a supply chain transmission cycle of at least 15 days from crude oil extraction and refining to the production of polypropylene pellets. At present, low-priced futures materials are unavailable for spot purchase, and spot raw materials on the market remain 20% more expensive than futures.

Anna, a small Sri Lankan wholesaler, buys one container of nonwoven fabrics from me. She messages me anytime, even about shades like "sunset pink" or color differences—which I used to find annoying. One night at 3am, she sent frantic voice messages: port strike delayed her containers; if her customer couldn't pick up tomorrow, they'd cancel and she'd go bankrupt. I contacted the shipping company and managed to get the container released after two days. She sent a WhatsApp video, shouting "You're my angel!" Later she told me that was the hardest day since her divorce. Since then, I no longer mind her frequent messages. Last year, with a new boyfriend, she ordered a new color, asking for "sand like Ipanema Beach." She sent a barefoot selfie in the sand. For the first time, I felt truly close to her.

Three years as partners, friends for a lifetime. We are truly grateful for a special client who bought our nonwoven tablecloths for years. Even though he changed careers this year, he hasn't gone far. The shift in industries hasn't faded our connection—he still goes out of his way, like a dear friend, to introduce us to new clients. We will always treasure this steadfast support.

Following the signing of the memorandum between the US and Iran, Brent crude prices dropped immediately—a seemingly positive development raising hopes for an early easing of tensions. However, the industry faces severe challenges: domestic raw material supplies are tight, and many plants are operating at half capacity. Many customers are asking whether raw material prices will fall in tandem with oil prices. Objectively speaking, even with the drop in oil prices, it takes at least 15–20 days for the impact to filter down the supply chain—from crude procurement and refining to downstream products like polypropylene. I would like to hear your views: Will the drop in oil prices lead to a tangible reduction in raw material costs, or will it merely offer temporary relief for supply shortages? Could a sudden geopolitical shift within the week render the memorandum void? Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Before every bulk production run, we send samples in advance for clients to confirm quality standards. We always produce samples based on each client's specific requirements. After the client receives the samples, if any adjustments are needed, we respond immediately, remake the samples, and refine them iteratively until the client is fully satisfied.

We once had a client for whom we made nine rounds of samples before finally finalizing the bulk production specifications. From order placement to final delivery, the entire process took nine months. Today, we have been working together for over three years.

We keep every detail of our clients' requirements close to heart and do our utmost to fulfill them.

Be our client — let us spoil you.

Feel free to contact us at any time.
