A year ago today, I was interviewed and featured in the Washington Post as a notable local resident. I shared my favorite places to go around town and highlighted how I, as a vintage retailer, fashion enthusiast and foodie, would spend my DC Dream Day! This gave me the opportunity to give Washington Post weekend readers a personal insight to who I am, places I enjoy and share the spotlight with other small businesses.

It was such a cool opportunity and I am forever grateful!

Even though it's 80 degrees outside here in DC, Fall is here. The weather definitely has us all in limbo but yet it's still time to have your closet stocked and ready with your Fall essentials. Blazers, vests, light sweaters and of course leather jackets are a must.

It's time to get creative and layer up. At BTV we have begun to change over our collection and are ready to dress you this Fall.

Come check us out this weekend at Songbird 11-3pm in the Union Market area for the Fantastic Fall Market

We will still have some end of summer pieces incorporated with our fun Fall collection of accessories and clothes.

As a scientist being environmentally conscious is very important to me and so having a vintage brand is in alignment with that as well. Every time I sell a piece it is being given another life, a new opportunity to enhance someone's style and it is helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the fashion industry one garment at a time Sustainable fashion is not a trend, it's a lifestyle.
