The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, designed by Santiago Calatrava, was inspired by a falcon in flight.
Its roof consists of 28 movable wings that open and close, revealing photovoltaic panels designed to harvest solar energy. As the host nation’s pavilion, the building showcased the UAE’s cultural heritage, national story, and future ambitions during Expo 2020 Dubai.
