She started out with a shop in London (Herald and Heart Hatters)making one off hats for customers and producing a wholesale range that was diffused throughout the world. She has also made hats for fashion shows throughout her career and has been featured many times in top magazines like “Vogue”, “Tatler,” “Harpers & Queen”etc……
Her hats have been worn by the rich and famous and many top mode
ls; Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Andie Mcdowell to name but a few. Her hats have also been featured on the television in well known series such ”Poirot” and in many publicity campaigns and even films; the most famous amongst them being; “Four Weddings and a Funeral.”
She lived for eight years in Mexico where she gained relative fame as the eccentric British Milliner, designing and creating for the high society and also Mexican designers such as Alvaro Reyes and Arturo Ramos. After that she came back to Europe and has just finished another eight year chapter in her life living in France! Together with her French husband they renovated and decorated a beautiful old decrepit,Manor house in Brittany. It is now a thriving business, Manoir de l'Ormelais BnB and self catering cottages. When the chance to live in Dubai came up she was really thrilled as it is exactly the kind of place where Lucy can go back to what she loves most.
