Vedle Prahy a Zlína stojí v době klauzur vždy za návštěvu i plzeňská Fakulta designu a umění na Sutnarce. Studenti tu pracují na obuvi, doplňcích a oděvu a podobně jako ve Zlíně tu často najdete zajímavé práce, které by obstály i v konkurenci z prestižní UMPRUMky.

Tactile perception is quite important feature of my work and in this project I decided to look at it from a different point of view. It is not just our palm, what makes it possible to perceive surfaces, structures and temperature. Some animals have this perception mediated through tactile whiskers and antennae. Microchips and prosthetics can help restore sensation of touch to people who have lost limbs. My main inspiration, however, were two books – Crowds and Power (E. Canetti) and The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat (O. Sacks). Canetti deals with the phenomenon of fear of touch, which leads us to the formation of crowds. The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat is inspired by real stories of people with neurological disorders such as loss of proprioception, which is basically a sixth sense that allows us to constantly perceive our own body, so it is in principle an internal sense of touch.
