From January 30th - February 14th, 2026, PLATTE opens the NEXT GEN Pop-Up and Exhibition, curated by photographer and NEXT GEN jury member Sven Marquardt.

Through a mix of fashion and visual arts, the exhibition offers a raw, intimate look into the designers minds shaping Berlin’s future. NEXT GEN provides new talent with visibility, mentorship, and a retail-focused platform to connect with brands, media, and the fashion industry.

Expect an immersive performance by no other than CONSTANZA MACRAS / DORKY PARK, where dance, text, live music, and film collide in an energetic, genre-bending format. (Picture by Christian Knörr )

Sound comes from DJ Triš , delivering an emotionally charged, experimental set that drifts between moods, textures, and the unexpected - guiding us gently from early evening into night. (Picture by )

Born in Iran and shaped by Italy’s design heritage and German Practical lifestyle, Sepideh Ahadi is a Berlin-based fashion designer working at the intersection of culture, sustainability, and craftsmanship. With international recognition from platforms such as Swarovski and Fashion Clash, her practice centers on transforming leftover luxury materials into timeless, handcrafted garments.

Her practice also stands as a quiet yet powerful act of visibility and self-expression, underscoring the importance of supporting diverse creative voices, particularly female immigrant designers, whose perspectives, cultural narratives, and lived experiences continue to shape and enrich the global creative landscape.

Doubt isn’t the enemy - it’s the starting point. Speaking with Sven Marquardt about his photo series reminds how uncertainty lives at the heart of every creative path. Each portrait - Presence, Absence, Drama, Despair and Doubt - captures the feeling so many artists in Berlin carry right now, in a city where funding cuts and constant change can make the future feel fragile. And yet, there’s a kind of strength in questioning everything, in redefining what creativity looks like, again and again. Berlin’s subculture has always been built on that energy. Sven talks about doubt not as something to escape, but as something that shapes us. This conversation felt like a reminder that visions don’t disappear in difficult times - they adapt, transform, and continue. Listening to Sven speak about his own lifelong relationship with doubt - from the basements of East Berlin’s punk years to the international stages he stands on today - felt like a quiet lesson in endurance. He doesn’t romanticize despair, but he doesn’t fear it either. Instead, he treats it as a necessary mirror.

We don’t turn away from despair, we translate it into presence.

PLATTE Feierabend New Years edition at its best.

Yesterday’s Feierabend was about arriving, exhaling, and letting things flow. set the tone with a special in-store moment with their live distressing station. DJ guided us gently from after-work hours into the evening, and turned the space into something alive - full of movement, rhythm, and shared energy.

Between drinks, conversations, and spontaneous dances, time just passed by so fast.
Fashion met performance, sound met bodies, and the evening unfolded on its own terms.

Thank you to everyone who joined, stayed, danced, and shared the space.
