One last evening in my Kreuzberg shop 🌙

Join me on 1 October 2025 from 6pm for an evening with live music, wine from Portugal & warm company. I’d be so happy to see you there!

It’s time for me to share some bittersweet news 🌙

On October 1st, I will be closing the shop on Katzbachstr. This has been a very difficult decision ⁓ the little space has truly been my oasis. ✨

But as some of you already know, I’ll (finally 🤍) become a mother in November, and I haven’t found a good way to keep the shop running during my parental leave.

🌿 The good news: I’m not stopping! The online shop will continue, as well as markets and pop-ups. And who knows what 2026 will bring … I already have some very exciting ideas for the future of this dream project of mine ⁓ I’ll keep you posted!

I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey so far: all the wonderful artisans in Portugal, every customer who stepped in and shared conversations about arts and crafts, all the kind couriers, and of course friends, family, and neighbours who made my time here so special. 💛

I’ll be open Thursday to Saturday until October 1st ⁓ please do come by. On that final evening, I’ll say goodbye with a little farewell party here at the shop. Please save the date ⁓ I’ll share details soon!

Beijinhos,
Isabel

I think we can all feel it strongly these days: Summer is fading and autumn is arriving. In Germany that usually means plenty of rain ~ but somehow it also feels wonderfully cosy already. 🕯️

In the photo I’m with the summery Margarida collection and some of Bordallo Pinheiro’s famous Couve pieces (the typical Portuguese kale) – a little symbol of this seasonal transition. 🌼🥬

The shop is especially warm and inviting right now – come by and see for yourself! Or treat yourself to a special piece from my online shop. 💛

Every day is market day at Kreuzberg’s ~ but Saturdays are something special ✨

Next Saturday, August 16, will be even more so, because I’ll be there too! ;-) I’m taking a short break from my summer pause to bring colourful ceramics from Portugal to the big weekend market.

If you know Markthalle Neun, you know how vibrant it gets ~ even more so on Saturdays, when the market is filled with culinary specialities and beautiful finds from some of Berlin’s most exclusive vendors. 🛍️

Come by between 10 AM and 6 PM ~ find me at my booth (outside area), browse my special selection of ceramics, and enjoy a cozy spot to take in the market bustle. ☕

Thank you so much to everyone who braved the crazy heat last week and came to the exhibition opening!

It was such a joy to share lemonade, wine, and conversations about the amazing goddesses and other figurines with you. So much love and curiosity for Northern Portugal – my heart is full! ❤️

The exhibition is still on until the end of July, so come by if you haven’t yet! 👹 Prices range from 15 to 150 euros.

The shop is open Thursday to Saturday. See you soon!

I’m excited to announce the first exhibition at studio oliveira! 🥂

I will show a rare selection of handcrafted clay figurines from Northern Portugal, offering a unique glimpse into the country’s rich tradition of myth, craft, and imagination.

These hand-shaped sculptures depict goddesses, mythical beings, and animals. They are deeply rooted in folk beliefs, storytelling, and symbolism. Each piece reflects the playful, poetic spirit of rural Portuguese culture ~ and the artists who keep these traditions alive. 🇵🇹

Featuring works by Mina Gallos and António Ramalho, alongside other artists from the Barcelos region. I’m proud to be one of the few international shops able to offer these special pieces, which are produced in very small quantities.

Join me on July 2 for the exhibition opening ~ have a glass of wine and take a closer look at these unique pieces.

🗓️Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6 pm

Still can’t quite believe it: The Berliner Morgenpost featured my little shop and my project dedicated to Portuguese craft traditions ~ on a full page in print! 🖤🇵🇹

The conversation with the journalist was really special. She took her time, asked thoughtful questions, and I felt truly seen. That she understood and valued the spirit behind this project means so much to me.

As a one-woman business in a city as vibrant and saturated as Berlin, it’s not easy to be noticed. Which makes texts and support like this all the more important. To see my project so carefully captured in ink on paper really touches me.

Obrigada from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supports me in many different ways. ✨

Spring is blooming and Easter is just around the corner! 🌷🌷🌷

As nature starts to stretch and yawn, I’m also taking a little break now and then over the coming holiday weeks. The shop will be closed on a few days here and there, but things will be back to normal from May 6 onwards.

If you’re still looking for a sweet little Easter gift or want to catch the first glimpses of new spring arrivals ~ now’s the time to drop by!

I can’t wait to welcome you back after the pause, ready for a sunny season full of beautiful finds. 🌞

Joana was one of the first artists I worked with ~ and she’s such a sweetheart. Back then, I visited her in her grandmother’s village, where she was learning and helping out in a traditional pottery workshop, and we took the most amazing pictures with . Now, Joana successfully runs her own pottery brand in Lisbon. 🤎

That’s why I’m even more excited to collaborate again! You can now find a small CICLO x OLIVEIRA collection in my shop: four beautifully handcrafted cups in soft, earthy tones. ☕✨

Come by, have a look, and grab yours before they’re gone! 💛

Please meet Alessa, a most lovely product designer who was a resident at and poured her love for Portugal into a beautiful collection: Vermelinas, a product family of drinking vessels for typical Portuguese drinks. I’m already stocking her carafe and cups for vinho verde, with more pieces to come!

I truly enjoy collaborating with fellow Portugal lovers ~ your passion for our shared second home means so much. Obrigada. 🧡

Alessa’s pieces are now available in my online shop and at my Kreuzberg store. These are handmade in extremely small batches, so don’t wait too long to secure yours!

Hi everyone, I’m back! My winter break was wonderful, and I wish you all the best for 2025. ✨

I spent the last week in Portugal. January is such a great month for traveling ~ things are quieter after the holidays, low season means budget-friendly prices, and there’s often so much more sunshine than in Germany!

Well, the sunshine didn’t quite work out this time, but the grey mountains and stone villages had their own charm. 🩶 I went to the north this time, a region with beautiful nature, sleepy villages ~ and lots of traditional crafts. I will show them to you in the next days, but some highlights:

1 The rooster, a national symbol of Portugal
2 The studio of António Ramalho, who creates fantastic figurines
3 Black pottery, an old northern craft
4 Manual lace making
5 A flowery vintage plate
6 Wooden carnival masks from Lazarim
7 Grey skies, but Portugal is always beautiful, don’t you agree?

Now I’m back in the shop and so excited for the new year ~ with lots of new pieces and surely many lovely encounters with you.
