A late 2000s moment courtesy of these rather unusual sneakers by Masataka Matsumura for A/W 2010. Structured suede elements are used to create an exaggerated shaft profile; matte calfskin accents and hard plastic eyelets add a retro-futuristic flavour.

Seen in several looks on the Giuliano Fujiwara runway and their Milan showroom. Interestingly, the design is constructed using the same Margrom rubber soles seen on shoes from several other labels from this period, such as Common Projects, Raf Simons and Lanvin.

The latest issue of Monocle showcases vintage dealers in niche and rare objects. 🐹 ENDYMA was chosen to represent fashion with our collection of designer clothing.
