In 18 days, Malizia 4 will leave the shipyard and head for the water.

A major milestone for Team Malizia – and a project we’re proud to support.

Climate action now!

Today is World Oceans Day.

For us, the oceans are more than routes, workplaces or sporting arenas.

They regulate our climate, produce oxygen, support biodiversity and connect people around the world.

That’s why we are proud to support Team Malizia and their mission:

"A Race We Must Win – Climate Action Now."

Led by Boris Herrmann, Team Malizia is using the global stage of offshore racing to raise awareness for climate change and ocean protection. Through scientific data collection at sea and educational initiatives, they help turn attention into action.

At Gleistein, we believe that performance and responsibility belong together.

Because protecting our oceans is not just a challenge for sailors.
It’s a responsibility for all of us.

Today is World Environment Day.

At Gleistein, sustainability is not just about reducing impact.
It’s also about rethinking materials.



That’s why we developed "Rope made from a bottle" – an initiative that gives recycled PET bottles a second life in high-performance rope applications.

For example our Mooring line ReBob.

Made from recycled PET bottles, ReBob combines reliable performance with a more responsible use of resources. What was once waste becomes part of a durable product designed for demanding marine and industrial applications.

A huge milestone for our RopeTec department:
We’ve officially completed our 1,000th development order.

And of course, this achievement deserved a celebration. 🙌

Behind these 1,000 projects are countless ideas, technical challenges, prototypes, problem-solving sessions and innovative solutions developed together with our customers.

From highly specialized rope applications to completely new concepts – every single project pushes us a little further.
