BYE BYE EU SHIPPING 💔📦

A message we really didn’t want to write…

From 12 August, unfortunately, we will no longer be able to ship orders to other EU countries. 🇪🇺💔
Shipping within Germany will of course continue as usual. 🫶

Why?

The new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) introduces additional requirements for businesses selling across borders, including obligations relating to packaging and extended producer responsibility. Depending on the destination country, this can involve registrations, packaging system participation, reporting and other requirements.

For a large company, these additional costs and administrative tasks might simply become another item on the to-do list.

For a small independent concept store and online shop like ours, however, it means significantly more bureaucracy, costs and administrative work – potentially for every individual destination country.

And honestly? That makes us sad.

The idea behind the regulation is a good one:
🌱 less packaging waste
♻️ stronger circular economy
📦 more responsibility for packaging

But we can’t help wondering whether regulations like this end up hitting small independent businesses particularly hard, while larger companies simply have much greater financial and administrative resources.

We love being able to send Ginger Club pieces to you all over Europe. ❤️
So this decision definitely isn’t one we are making lightly.

Thank you to everyone who supports small businesses, shops local, orders from independent labels and understands that behind a small shop there are people – not huge financial resources. 🫶

🇩🇪 Shipping within Germany will, of course, continue.

POV: Du bist Unternehmerin im Ginger Club und merkst plötzlich, dass Content machen nicht einfach „nebenbei“ passiert. 😅📸

Die Realität hinter den Reels: ✨ 27 Takes für eine Szene ✨ peinliche Outtakes ✨ Selbstgespräche vor der Kamera ✨ „Warte kurz, das Licht war gerade besser…“ ✨ und am Ende bleiben genau 3 Sekunden im fertigen Video. 🥲
Aber genau das macht’s doch aus – ein bisschen Chaos, ganz viel Herz und jede Menge Ginger Club Energy. 🧡
