And so it looks they're ready! A tiny bit a day, between lack of time and needing to dry thoroughly. Now 24hrs more of proper drying, then spray anti humidity and spots, and ready to wear them again! 🤩

I tried dyeing with Rit Dye I Fabric Dye , but I bought the wrong one (multipurpose, not the Dye more), damaging the black layers in the process.. 🫩

Then I remembered I had somewhere a bottle of Liquitex medium for textiles. Et voilà! Mixed acrylics, medium, water, several layers. Got the right blue. Done! Some more layers of Fiebing Company Inc 's Edge Kote and Angelus Direct | Paints, Dyes, Cleaners for Shoes & More Satin 4-Coat and ready!

Let's hope they'll last at least a couple of months! Love how comfy they are and the shoes are otherwise in a good state to wear! 💙 🖤

It's been silent over here for quite a while. I've been busy with all sorts of things "kind of" unrelated to Van Kirsch Handbags.

One one side life happens and a lot has been happening, more about this soonish.. Quite a big GOOD changes coming!

Also I have in the pipeline 3 custom luxury handbags for 3 awesome people who kindly pledged for The Progspace 10th Anniversary Show in November. (if you're interested in Progressive rock and metal, head to The Progspace and help us make our (and mine too! anniversary show the best we can! (Persefone, Ihlo, An Abstract Illusion, Feather Mountain, Soulsplitter, The Aurora Project)

But before all this take completely over me, I needed to finish the revamping and renewing of my favorite light summer shoes! Easier than the winter boots (still waiting to be finished, they will be!).

I had to melt the broken faux leather/vinyl with acetone. Then I painted the remaining backing fabric with Maxmatt edge paint from Giardini Group , and Edge Kote from Fiebing Company Inc and acrylic protector from Angelus Direct | Paints, Dyes, Cleaners for Shoes & More.. Now is glueing time with Kovulfix, then another coat of edge kote wherever necessary and a layer of the acrylic finisher. Lastly bathe them in indigo dye (for acrylics) from Rit Dye I Fabric Dye.

I'll post finished results!

So far I'm astonished at how good the vinyl/faux leather look is back with the combination of the leather/faux leather edge finishers.. Impressive! (need to buy more soon though 😅. Used about 4 or 5 layers after drying thoroughly and sanding).

Yay!

Wow! We almost doubled the percentage of the first 24 hours in the second day! That means we have reached 62% in the first 48 hours! Eternal gratitude to each and every one of you for backing us early on and getting this crowdfunding off to a great start.

But those 62% are just in relation to our very first goal which will only cover the bare minimum like the venue costs for the small hall and accommodation of the bands. Of course, partying with all of you in the big hall of Cpunt (and not having to pay the bands' travel costs out of our own pockets) would be our dream, so keep those pledges coming to make this dream come true! 🙏🙏🙏

It's been too silent around here. The holidays and change of year brought A LOT of stuff to enjoy and deal with.

One of those ✌🏻dealing with✌🏻 was a too long period of the most persistent cold I've had on the last dunno-how-long, that I can remember (since early December!).

Meanwhile, got a commissioned customized sling bag slooowly going.. Finally gaining momentum! I'll post pics when it's ready to ship to Spain.
