"What makes Hannibal special to you?"

"What makes Hannibal special to me is the combination of cut, fabric, and attitude. The clothing is of exceptional quality, but never loud. It doesn’t rely on big logos or bold colors. Its character comes from the silhouette, the materials, and the way it makes you feel when you wear it.
Many pieces only reveal their true character once you put them on. On the hanger, you often don’t immediately see what makes them so special. But as soon as you wear them, you notice how thoughtfully the cuts are designed and how unique the fabrics feel.
To me, Hannibal pieces are not seasonal fashion. They are garments you can wear for many years. You keep rediscovering them, styling them in new ways, and connecting them with memories and meaningful moments."

One of our favorite linen suppliers is based in Ireland. The fabric is washed and tumble-finished to create an especially soft handfeel and a unique, subtly textured surface. The result: linen with a relaxed character and softer creasing.

This season, we selected a very special shade — a refined greenish-brown, inspired by earthy mud tones and not something you come across every day. Natural, understated, and made for summer.

"What was your first Hannibal piece?"

"My first Hannibal piece was this exact black linen suit. Wide-leg trousers and a stand-collar jacket — very minimal, yet with a strong silhouette.

I wore this suit for many years. At some point, I gave it to my brother when he was visiting from Los Angeles. I really liked that because the suit didn’t just stay in the closet — it kept living on. It found a second life in Los Angeles."

"Can you remember when and where you first discovered Hannibal?"

"Yes, I remember it very clearly. I first discovered Hannibal. in a store in Vienna. A friend introduced me to the brand and told me she thought it would suit me very well - not only because of the cuts, but especially because of the materials.

When I tried on my first Hannibal. suit, I was immediately convinced. It was a black linen suit with wide trousers and a stand-collar jacket. To me, the piece had something Japanese about it - something very distinctive and independent. It felt special without being loud. That’s exactly what appealed to me from the very beginning.

Our connection with Nuriel started many years ago, when Stefanie Hofer from THE TREASURY in Vienna introduced him to Hannibal.
Since then, our paths have crossed time and time again - always driven by a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, individuality and the people behind the story.
