About Me

Born from the desire to provide men with handcrafted artisanal hats I established my label VonArtmann in 2017. An American designer working in the UNESCO city of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany, I started to create capsule collections that include limited editions as well as one-of-a-kind men’s hats.

Passionately upholding the tradition of millinery, where hats are intricately formed and sewn by hand, I explore classic and contemporary artisanal techniques throughout my work. Known for the expression of artistry mixed with a taste for street fashion, as these are the real runways of the world, I combine classic materials like felts and hand-woven straws with modern materials such as metal and plastic creating hats that are both timeless yet progressive.

While always providing for the man who respects the art of hand-made, VonArtmann also seeks to redefine the conventional by pushing the boundaries and perception of hats in today’s menswear market.
